History of Metropolitan Hospital. Nicely illustrated. A very good copy.
This limited edition work covers the entire history of the Metropolitan Hospital under Homoeopathic management. It takes us from the 1870s through the 1930s. It is nicely illustrated with photos covering the entire 60 years. Some of the early Homoeopaths that were affiliated on the medical board of this hospital included, Egbert Guernsey, William Todd Helmuth, George S. Norton, J. W. Dowling, Samuel Lilienthal, and Edmund Carleton, Jr. Other physicians like W. A. Dewey, are also mentioned. It is a unique document and photographic history. To our knowledge, some of the pictures and information included here are not available in any other text. This is a beautifully illustrated text, and an important document on how a Homoeopathic hospital existed during this unique time in American and Homoeopathic history. Very scarce!
