Franklin was Professor of Surgery in the Homoeopathic Department at the University of Michigan. He was also surgeon to the university hospital. His other works include, The Science and Art of Surgery, a 2- volume issue and The Complete Minor Surgery. He was a well-known homoeopathic physician and surgeon.
