Top of spine has small 1/4" piece loose. Front and back hinges weak. Boards and spine show normal wear. Overall, in good condition.
In Burt's Characteristics of Materia Medica Memorizer, the author tells us that the design of this work is to bring together a sufficient number of the most practical characteristics or keynotes of our leading remedies, both as to drug pathology and therapeutics, to form a complete skeleton or framework of each drug. As stated in the title, the goal of this work is to assist the student and practitioner to better memorize the materia medica. The author also tells us that, to date, there was no other materia medica that had fulfilled these requirements. A very unique work, and an interesting title.
